Training on Decentralized Sanitation Solutions for government engineers completed in Kabul

BORDA Afghanistan in cooperation with GIZ-WSIP and Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MUDH) conducted a 6 day training on Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Systems (DEWATS) for the relevant government engineers on 22nd-29th October, 2016 at the MUDH office, in Kabul. The training was held in cooperation with Smart World Sanitation Services Company (SW).


The purpose of this training was to develop the capacity of the relevant engineers on the planning, design, implementation and monitoring of the Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Systems through theoretical and practical sessions. 19 Engineers from the various governmental departments (MUDH, National Environment Protection Agency, Kabul Municipality, Afghanistan Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Corporation) and NGOs participated in this training program.
The training was concluded with distribution of DEWATS manuals, DEWATS Code of Practice and Completion Certificates to the participants.
